Linea Oro DOP Gorgonzola Dolce is a soft, aged, pasteurized, blue, cow's milk cheese from Italy. "Dolce" translates to "sweet" in Italian. Gorgonzola Dolce is a younger, therefore milder, version of aged Gorgonzola (Gorgonzola Piccante). The taste isn't as assertive as Gorgonzola Piccante, and it is sweet and mild with a slight tanginess. This straw-white cheese is completed by light green streaks. With its gentle melting flavor, it is a perfect choice for all the palates. Its texture makes it perfect for spreading on bread and crackers. It is also excellent in risotto, polenta, mixed into vinaigrette, melted onto pizza, used in a dip, or served alongside berries, pears, peaches, and plums. Cut cheese, up to 4 lb.
