Grown in the Valencia region of Spain, where they're called "the queen of almonds," they have a notable soft crunch and rich flavor that makes them stand out from typical, supermarket almonds. These Spanish almonds are lightly fried in oil and salted, resulting in a rich, slightly salty and nutty taste. As such, they can be eaten on their own.
